124 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Defence the number of hospital beds in the Curragh Military Hospital, County Kildare, and St. Bricin's Military Hospital, Dublin 7; the number of patients in each hospital for each week of the past three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10192/01]

The military authorities advise that following the re-organisation of the Defence Forces, effective from 1 November 1998, the Curragh Military Hospital was re-designated as a military medical facility. There are currently 30 beds in the Curragh military medical facility and 79 beds in St. Bricin's military hospital.

The average number of in-patients per week over the past three years is as follows:
