Ceist:

138 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the full extent of the facilities proposed at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare; the various developmental stages of the process already undergone; the number of stages to be undergone before commencement of works; if further delays are likely in the course of the project; if it is possible to indicate an exact timetable for the remaining works including commencement works; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The proposed extension project at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare, is 897 square metres and comprises a number of general and specialist classrooms, guidance, pastoral rooms and a storeroom.

The following stages of architectural planning have been completed: stage 1 which covers site suitability, briefing and site report; stage 2 which covers outline sketch scheme; stage 3 which covers developed sketch scheme.

The stages 4 and 5 – detail design and bill of quantities – submission is currently being examined in the building unit of my Department.
