154 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 135 of 22 February 2001, he has completed his consideration of the consultants review of the performance of a company (details supplied) to date; the main findings of this review; if he will publish the review; if he will place a copy in the Oireachtas Library; the steps he plans to take on foot of this review; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The consultancy report in question was finalised in February last and my Department will conclude its consideration of the report's finding and recommendations very shortly. The report will then be published and copies placed in the Oireachtas Library. On foot of this and another related consultancy report, my Department will be closely engaged with relevant interests to develop and pursue necessary measures in support of the improved recovery of packaging waste and the achievement of Ireland's recycling targets under Council Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste.
