420 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the plans he has to make funding available to upgrade Midleton library in County Cork; when he hopes to make such moneys available; the amounts involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12059/01]
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I have approved funding for a new branch library in Midleton, subject to suitable proposals being submitted by the library authority, Cork County Council. The project will attract grant aid of £524,000 approximately based on the library authority's latest estimates for the project.
