298 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons the mobility allowance was not granted to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if her case can be reviewed and the decision reversed as a matter of urgency. [13689/01]

The assessment of entitlement to and payment of mobility allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency
