190 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the problems for patients seeking long-term care or respite places in County Kildare; the plans he has to alleviate the problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14258/01]

The provision of health services in County Kildare is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this issue and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
