97 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the position regarding an application for a pension under the early farm retirement scheme by a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [14373/01]

This application will be approved shortly. Payment of the pension will begin at the end of June 2001 and the applicant will get payments retrospective to 29 December 2000, which was the date of valid application.
