228 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will arrange to have the request by County Kilkenny Vocational Education Committee for approval for works to a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny processed as quickly as possible; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials from my Department have very recently visited the school to which the Deputy refers. As the school is housed on two separate sites, any major refurbishment project will entail a significant amount of planning in order to deliver the high quality, accessible facilities required in this case. The process of formulating such a plan is ongoing in my Department. In the meantime, however, every effort is being made to attend to all essential works requiring immediate attention.
