Vol. 537 No. 1

Written Answers. - Citizens Imprisoned Abroad.

Brian O'Shea

Ceist:

74 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the assistance he can give to a person imprisoned in England (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15395/01]

The Irish Embassy in London is in contact with this person's legal representatives and a member of the Embassy's consular staff will visit him shortly.

He should be advised by his legal representatives about how best to avail of the review and/or appeal procedures provided for in the British judicial system. The embassy will remain in contact with him and his legal representatives will give him all appropriate consular assistance and support and will keep me informed of developments.
