252 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason an application for a stair lift for persons (details supplied) in County Kilkenny was classified by the chief medical officer as medium priority when the general practitioner's view is that it is urgent; and if the matter can be investigated and the application expedited. As responsibility for the provision of occupational therapy services in County Kilkenny rests, in the first instance, with the South Eastern Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
