Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Health Services.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

252 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason an application for a stair lift for persons (details supplied) in County Kilkenny was classified by the chief medical officer as medium priority when the general practitioner's view is that it is urgent; and if the matter can be investigated and the application expedited. [15938/01]

As responsibility for the provision of occupational therapy services in County Kilkenny rests, in the first instance, with the South Eastern Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
