422 Miss Fox asked the Minister for Education and Science when Blessington No. One School will be assessed for an alternative suitable site; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that such a site is available; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that the current school has been condemned and that money for temporary accommodation has not been paid to the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is assessing the most efficient and cost effective way of providing appropriate long-term accommodation at Blessington No. One School. It is not possible at this point to give any indication as to the timetable for the provision of the accommodation.
The board of management of the school has been advised that grant aid for the provision of the temporary accommodation will issue upon receipt of standard documentation confirming that the temporary accommodation complies with the planning laws, fire safety, etc. My Department now awaits receipt of this documentation.
