Ceist:420 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if he will immediately offer a placement to a person (details supplied) in Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16615/01]

The person referred to by the Deputy has been offered lateral transfer as clerical officer to the Department's offices in Sligo on foot of an application for transfer made some time ago. The offer of appointment was made to the person concerned on the basis of certain conditions and a commencement date in the Department in Sligo has been arranged.
