238 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to parliamentary Question No. 82 of 1 March 2001, he will state the reason no reply has yet been received from the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has had made further inquiries of the regional chief executive of the ERHA in this matter. The patient in question was admitted to St. James's Hospital on 30 May and was discharged on 31 May following surgery.

I am informed that the Deputy was recently notified of the position by the authority.
