Vol. 539 No. 1

Written Answers. - Smoking Prevention.

Ceist:

259 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to parliamentary Question No. 211 of 19 June 2001, he will state his views on whether a uniformed patrol service on the most problematic routes operated by Dublin Bus would be the most effective way to tackle illegal smoking on services of the bus company. [18831/01]

Decisions on the most appropriate method of monitoring compliance with the law in this area are operational matters for the company concerned.
