432 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science when the arrears due to a special needs assistant (details supplied), arising from a pay deal in July 2000 for the period September 1999 to October 2000, will be paid. [18718/01]

A number of cases involving arrears for special needs assistants are currently been examined in my Department. As soon as this process is complete my Department will be in further contact with the person in question.
