107 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the steps she has taken to implement the mobility management plans for staff commuting to their departments; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19454/01]
Written Answers. - Mobility Management Plans.
My Department was one of six organisations which participated in a pilot project which aimed to develop a green commuter plan for the staff of each organisation. The project was part financed by the EU under the SAVE 11 Programme and was a joint initiative of the Dublin Transportation Office, the Irish Energy Centre and Kirklees Metropolitan Council in the UK.
The project is now completed and culminated in the publication by the Dublin Transportation Office of the document, The Route to Sustainable Commuting, An Employers Guide to Mobility Management Plans.
The DTO has recently submitted a copy of the guide to my Department and consideration is been given to the development and implementation of this initiative.
