252 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received an application from the North-Eastern Health Board for funding to provide a breast cancer screening unit at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, County Meath; if not, when he will allocate the funding required to provide this service on the Navan hospital site; the expected cost of this service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware, the provision of services in this area is the statutory responsibility of the North-Eastern Health Board. I understand from the board that the development of symptomatic breast disease services in the area will be further discussed at a special meeting of the board to be held in early July.
