Vol. 540 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Staff.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

255 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason there is a delay in advertising for and appointing a specialist nurse for cystic fibrosis at Tralee General Hospital; if he will instruct the Southern Health Board to advertise for same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19654/01]

The Deputy will appreciate that the recruitment and appointment of staff at Tralee General Hospital is a matter for the Southern Health Board. I have asked the board's chief executive officer to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
