383 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if he is investigating the case of a person (details supplied) who has made a serious allegation against a person in his Department; his views on the way in which the matter has been handled to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A number of serious allegations have been made over the past 12 months by, and on behalf of, the person referred to by the Deputy against an employee of the Department. An investigation was undertaken into these allegations and all aspects of the matter, including the allegations made in the most recent letter on behalf of the person concerned, are currently being reviewed by senior management in the Department.
