471 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason that a psychological assessment promised in a reply to Parliamentary Question No. 214 of 12 April 2001 in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not taken place. [19638/01]
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the psychologist from the National Educational Psychological Service was unable to visit the school in question during the summer term as planned. However, I have been assured by NEPS that a full investigation of the child's needs will be carried out as a priority, as soon as the school reopens in September.
