Higgins asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the total number of cases in which disciplinary action has been taken against employees of local authorities arising from the reports he sought from county managers regarding possible improper involvement by staff in planning applications; if he has satisfied himself that there is a general compliance with the code of practice laid down by the Local Government Regulations, 1984; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
