The information requested by the Deputy is set out in the following table. Data are derived from the hospital in-patient inquiry system which collects information on each discharge from publicly funded acute hospitals. The table covers the years 1994 to 2000, inclusive, as prior to 1994 HIPE did not have full coverage.
