122 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he has received an appeal from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath in respect of the area aid scheme 2001; if he will ensure that this person is allowed to participate in the 2001 area aid scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The herdowner lodged an appeal on 11 June concerning his 2001 area aid application. Appeals require individual examination and are dealt with in the order in which they are received. This appeal will be examined in due course and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.
