1057 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide an update on the provision of a sports hall for St. Conleth's vocational school, Newbridge, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21505/01]
County Kildare Vocational Education Committee has submitted an application to my Department for the provision of a PE hall at St. Conleth's vocational school, Newbridge, County Kildare. The position is that my Department is currently preparing PE hall templates that will standardise the construction of PE halls at second level schools. These templates are being piloted in four schools initially. It is anticipated that the templates will be available for implementation soon, at which stage the matter of providing a PE hall at St. Conleth's vocational school will be considered.
