119 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Finance if he will make arrangements to allow a group (details supplied) in Dublin 11 to have charitable status to put in place a short-term overdraft facility to conduct its day to day operations. [24430/01]
I understand from the Revenue Commissioners that the body in question has been granted charitable exemption for tax purposes by the Revenue Commissioners since 24 November 1999. Correspondence regarding this group was received in my office on Thursday, 11 October 2001. The matters raised will be considered and a reply issued as soon as possible.
