Ceist:265 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding an extension to a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25390/01]
Written Answers. - School Accommodation.
An application has been received for an extension at the school to which the Deputy refers. The planning section of my Department recently completed its projection of the long-term enrolment at the school and the school authority has accepted the long-term projected enrolment figure of 775 pupils.
The building unit of my Department is in the process of compiling the schedules of accommodation in order to access the deficit of accommodation at the school. These schedules will be issued to the school authorities for their acceptance shortly. When the schedules have been accepted by the school authority my Department will be in a position to consider progressing this project by commencing the architectural planning of an extension.
