299 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if his Department has received correspondence from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath in relation to an application for the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme; if cognisance can be taken of the circumstances outlined therein; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

The application lodged by the person named on 26 September 2001 has been accepted and is currently being processed for payment which if found in order, will issue in due course. She will retain her quota of 11.8 premium rights for 2002.
