Ceist:

340 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Health and Children the arrangements in place at a hospital (details supplied) for patients who have travelled long distances for cancer treatment but find a machine has broken down; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25959/01]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Services for eligible patients at St. Luke's Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and respond to him directly.
