The information sought in relation to the year 2000 is being compiled in my Department and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible. On the basis of annual staffing returns submitted by the local authorities, the numbers identified as serving at the specified grade levels at 31 December 1995, 1997 and 1999 are as follows:
