I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Hogan – the circumstances surrounding the employment of a person (details supplied) by the South-Eastern Health Board; (2) Deputy Ring – the need to fund the renovation and development of Ardagh National School, Crossmolina, County Mayo; (3) Deputy Deasy – the situation at St. John's School for special needs in Dungarvan, County Waterford, with regard to the provision of specialised services for the children; (4) Deputy McGuinness – the need to establish a database of all health professionals containing up to date information, checked references and a system of ongoing cross checks with other medical bodies and organisations in Europe and world wide (5) Deputy Dukes – the recent changes in the rules for the suckler cow premium scheme, which could substantially reduce the value of this scheme to herd owners; (6) Deputies McGrath and Penrose – the delay in the implementation of an augmented water supply for Moate, County Westmeath; (7) Deputy Flanagan – the need to ensure the re-opening at the earliest possible date of Rhode Power Station, County Offaly; (8) Deputy Crawford – the need to arrange immediate payment in respect of certain animals (details supplied) and to review the reactor animal compensation scheme; (9) Deputy Sargent – that the Minister for Public Enterprise address the need to establish an emergency co-ordinated procedure for the provision of park and ride facilities in Swords to serve the new quality bus corridor and at other similar locations on the periphery of cities countrywide, given the ongoing failure of local authorities and public transport to effectively co-operate on this matter; (10) Deputy Healy – the urgent need to properly finance and staff the housing aid for the elderly scheme; (11) Deputy Enright – the decision not to pay a pension under the farm retirement scheme to a person (details supplied); (12) Deputy Stanton – to ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development to use his good offices to mediate in the dispute between Greencore and farmers which is threatening the future of the industry and could see sugar beet rotting in the ground this year.
