Ceist:27 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands when she expects to publish the promised Arts Bill; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [27149/01]
Written Answers. - Proposed Legislation.
The general scheme for a new Arts Bill has been approved by Government. A parliamentary draftsman has been appointed to work on the text of the Bill which is scheduled for publication in early 2002. I hope it will be possible to improve on that time frame.
