499 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction an application by a primary school (details supplied) in Dublin 5 for funds for the replacement of the central heating system, radiators, pipes, electrical system, fire alarm system as well as the provision of a burglar alarm system, CCTV and a multi-sensory room before the end of 2001; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has already approved grant aid for improvement works including the replacement of windows and doors, repairs to ceilings and the erection of security fencing at the school referred to by the Deputy. Decisions relating to the rate of progress of the remainder of the project, including the mechanical and electrical works, will be taken in the light of the allocations to be made for school building purposes in the forthcoming Estimates.
