170 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if her attention has been drawn to the proposal for the establishment of an academy for entrepreneurship at City West, Saggart, County Dublin; if her Department is supporting the proposal; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [28898/01]
I am aware that a proposal for such an academy has been mooted by certain private interests and there have been discussions between a number of Departments, including my own, in the matter. Any decision to provide State support for such a venture would fall to be taken primarily by the educational authorities in the light of the perceived need for the provision in question and the availability (existing or potential) of similar or equivalent provision in other centres of higher education.
