Ceist:

180 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the amount of capital expenditure which was spent by his Department since July 1997 to 1 November 2001; the percentage of this which was spent in County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29277/01]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

Capital expenditure for the Department amounted to £380 million gross and £292 million net – after inclusion of Structural Fund receipts from the EU – for the period from July 1997 to 31 October this year. Capital schemes were operated on a national basis and a county breakdown is not available.
