Ceist:185 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a suckler cow payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway. [30814/01]

The person named applied on 95 animals under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. A number of the animals require further checks to establish their registration status and herd of origin. One animal listed, tag number GVA037697, required investigation to establish its correct breed and this matter was resolved at an inspection carried out by an officer from my Department on 8 November 2001. The application is now being processed further and if found in order payment will issue as soon as possible.
