144 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will provide the necessary funds to Kildare County Council to facilitate the necessary road and footpath requirements in 2001; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31321/01]

I will be announcing details of the 2002 non-national road grant allocations early in the new year, with the objective of resourcing all local authorities appropriately in relation to their ongoing and special needs.
