174 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science when a payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; the reason for the delay in this regard; if he will ensure this does not reoccur; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31194/01]
Payment to the person concerned issued this week. Payments to those who worked on this year's certificate examinations were issued slightly later than normal due, in the main, to the postponement of the oral examinations earlier this year. It is my Department's policy to endeavour to issue payments as quickly as possible to all who work on the examinations, within the constraints of the resources available.
