Vol. 546 No. 3

Written Answers. - Disability Services.

Ned O'Keeffe

Ceist:

248 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will arrange for an occupational therapist to call to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [31908/01]

The administration of the disabled persons grant is entirely a matter for the Department of the Environment and Local Government and the local authorities. The use of occupational therapy staff from the health boards to carry out assessments is entirely a matter for discussion between the health boards and the local authorities. A copy of the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board, with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to you, as a matter of urgency.
