69 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will review the thirty day retention period as it applies to cattle dealers who deal in in-calf dairy animals; and if he will reconsider its continuation. [31994/01]

The 30 day retention period was last reviewed in October when a decision was taken to extend the measure until 31 December 2001. The matter is currently under review again and an announcement will be made shortly.
