33 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, in regard to his comments made in Tralee on 9 November 2001, he will indicate if he is planning additional legislation to deal with public order problems; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32088/01]
As I indicated in my remarks last month, I am very concerned with the problem of public order and drink-related street violence late at night. I am currently considering new legislative proposals to tackle this problem and intend to bring these proposals to Government. I will be making a further statement in the matter subsequently.
