Written Answers. - Project Review.
My Department is currently at the early stages of considering further projects under the public private partnership process, PPP, following the commencement of construction of the initial pilot phase of PPP project. As the Deputy will be aware, PPP projects encompass the design, build, financing and operation of capital facilities. The initial project is testing the PPP process in respect of post-primary school provision.
I am sure the Deputy will agree that it is prudent to keep all options open and accordingly my Department requested the board of management to postpone, for the time being, the process of appointing of a design team.
