Ceist:

124 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will amend the regulation governing the scheme for gardaí who serve in official Gaeltacht areas where extra remuneration is involved upon proven competency in the Irish language; if he will extend this scheme to the Gaeltacht areas of County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are no proposals to amend the arrangements in relation to the payment of the Gaeltacht allowance to members of the Garda Síochána along the lines suggested by the Deputy.
