102 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if his attention has been drawn to the damage to the Seapoint pitch and putt course due to coastal erosion following recent storms; the steps he proposes to take in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for coastal protection rests with the property owner whether it be a local authority or a private individual. It is a matter for local authorities to submit proposals to my Department for consideration under the coastal protection programme. My Department has not received a submission from Louth County Council in relation to the amenity in question.
