170 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Finance if his Department has plans to provide new office space in Sligo given that there is overcrowding in the existing accommodation; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that Sligo City Council has an existing site to provide further accommodation to facilitate future decentralisation. The Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs has a requirement for additional accommodation at its existing offices at College Road, Sligo. A brief of requirements is currently being developed with the Department and arrangements are being made to appoint a design team. Additional land is required to extend the existing offices and this is being pursued by the Office of Public Works. The Commissioners of Public Works are not aware of the Sligo City Council site referred to by the Deputy.
