125 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the position regarding the sale of a substantial portion of the land area of Gormanston Military Camp; the name and address of the person or company who purchased the land; the purpose for which the land was purchased; the purchase price; and the conditions of sale. I propose to take Questions Nos. 122 and 125 together.
As I have already announced, I have decided to dispose of some land at Gormanston Camp, County Meath, to fund equipment purchases for the Defence Forces. The precise area to be put on the market has yet to be finally determined but the military camp of 57 acres approximately will be retained. The modalities and timing of the sale are at present under consideration.
