134 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if his Department is responsible for the administration of CLÁR funding in Gaeltacht areas; if so, when it is expected the allocations will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6003/02]
The administration of CLÁR funding in the 16 selected areas in the programme, including the Gaeltacht areas, is the responsibility of my Department.
A very broad range of projects will be supported under the programme in three categories: local authority – roads, water, sewerage, village renewal, coastal erosion, piers; industry, enterprise and tourism; and health, education and community.
It is hoped to finalise the allocation of this year's funding across each category shortly.
