Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gregory – the request of the family of the late Dean Lyons, who was wrongly charged with murder, that the tribunal of inquiry into the Garda handling of the McBrearty case be extended to include the case of Mr. Lyons; (2) Deputy Sargent – the need to increase Garda foot patrols and other crime prevention measures such as CCTV cameras in main streets; (3) Deputy Gormley – the delay in issuing sanction for new prefabricated classrooms for Muckross Park School; (4) Deputy Healy – the need for the appointment of community gardaí in the towns of Clonmel, Tipperary Town and Carrick-on-Suir; (5) Deputy Neville – Adare sewerage scheme; (6) Deputy Stagg – the need to provide examinations and certification for drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods; (7) Deputy Broughan – the need to establish a national housing authority; (8) Deputy Rabbitte – the findings of the Motor Insurance Advisory Board and the need for the urgent publication of the report.

The matters raised by Deputies Rabbitte, Gormley, Stagg and Neville have been selected for discussion.
