88 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for Finance if he will give consideration to decentralising a Department or agency to Tallaght, Dublin 24 to further strengthen the significant infrastructural developments under way in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6238/02]
As the Deputy is aware no decisions have yet been taken in relation to a new programme of decentralisation. The selection of suitable locations for inclusion in a new programme will be influenced by a number of factors. In that regard I note the suggestion made by the Deputy and in particular his view that decentralisation could serve to strengthen existing infrastructural developments.
