Under current arrangements, my Department provides funding to meet the special equipment needs of pupils with disabilities in primary schools and in special schools. In December 2001, my Department issued a grant of €2,159 to facilitate the purchase of computer equipment by the school authorities for the pupil in question. I understand this equipment has now been purchased and is available to the pupil.
