120 Mr. Gormley asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment her plans to ensure that the Irish Glass Bottle Company, Ringsend, Dublin 4, will not close in June, 2002; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8809/02]
The present position is that talks are taking place under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission. The LRC is continuing to work with both the trades union side and the management side. I understand that the talks are ongoing and that some progress has been made so far.
